Tips for name tracing practice

Start with the warm-up page so little hands loosen up, then trace slowly from left to right. Short sessions of 10 to 15 minutes work better than one long sitting. Use a pencil or a chunky crayon, and praise effort rather than neatness. Slide a page into a clear sleeve and use a dry-erase marker to practice again and again.

For best printing, choose US Letter, margins None and scale 100%. Turn on background graphics to keep the colors.

Is my child's name stored or uploaded?

No. The workbook is built in your own browser. The name you type is not sent to or saved on our servers by this tool.

What paper size does it use?

US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches). In the print window choose Letter, set margins to None and scale to 100%.

Why are the colors missing in my PDF?

Turn on Background graphics in the print window, or use the Download PDF button, which keeps the colors.

What ages is it for?

It is designed for ages 3 to 6 (preschool and kindergarten). Age 5 and up shows Kindergarten on the cover.

Can I use long names?

Yes, up to 24 characters. The letters resize automatically so the name always fits on the lines.
